Days Thirty-Four and Thirty-Five

Not a lot to report on for Friday, but today I spent hours and hours creating a Kusudama ball out of newspaper. It's ridiculous, guys, never make one. The website I found the instructions on was all "you don't have to have patience to do this project!" But they LIED, it took me hours to rip the paper and hours to fold and glue it! I might do another one some day with prettier paper, but omg. It took a ridiculously long time to make. My sister and I also went to our friends' house to discuss day camp today, and we're going back tomorrow.

My day camp notebook and agenda in my purse

An extremely blurry picture of my friend Austin's shrinky-dink

Yum.

Duchess, who moved when I snapped the picture, so she looks like a ghost...

These are some doodles I made about day camp ^^

Here's the start of my Kusudama ball project.

One of the finished petals

More petals...

Sixty petals. Honestly.

A finished flower

And the finished ball!

I got a lot of ink and glue on my fingers during the process. I don't really know what to do with it now that I'm finished... Apparently you can put a string in the center when gluing the two halves together and make it an ornament, which I might try if I ever make another one... Anyway. We're going back to the Culbreth's house tomorrow to further discuss camp stuff. Hopefully it'll be another productive day. DFTBA!

Day Thirty-Three

It's been another rainy day. I only took one picture at school, so most of these are from my bedroom. I did more editing than usual:

Daniel! Despite the look on his face, he actually seemed pretty cheerful this afternoon.

Gemma, my pink ducky, with black/white editing

The 2010 Christmas village house, with black/white editing

I made a heart out of play-doh. Yay!

Depth-of-field editing on this one, to make the green canister stand out more

So wow! Usually I only edit the pictures I put on the project site, and here three are edited, as well as the one on the site. Please check it out, I really love today's picture. :) DFTBA!

Day Thirty-Two

HAPPY FEBRUARY! I really wanted to start again at Day One with this post, lol. Well, I forgot to change my calendar this morning, so I just did it a few minutes ago. The flamingos are actually pretty cute. I'll try to get a picture of them sometime this month, and a picture of last month's raccoon. Right now I'm listening to recordings of songs my band has played so far this year. They sound so epic. I love being in the wind ensemble! xD Anywho, on to pictures!

The view from my English classroom's window. It started to rain.

It's almost time to get out! Hooray!

The view from the cafeteria as I waited to be picked up after band practice. It started raining a lot harder.

I didn't have very many good opportunities to take pictures today. I've been pretty busy. However, I feel pretty good about myself right now because I've finished all my homework and now I'm just goofing off and waiting for Kelsey to reply to my email. (She's one of the girls I'm directing day camp with.) I wish someone would get online... I feel like talking... perhaps I should get on Omegle, lol. Well, DFTBA!

Day Thirty-One

Ah, the end of January. I'm going to have to change my calendar, and I've so enjoyed this month's picture... it's a raccoon. The picture for February is flamingos. Anyway. Not many pictures today. It's a Monday.

One of the signs above the recycling cans right outside the cafeteria...

Daniel left me a note in my calculator when he had to borrow it for math. I didn't find it until several hours later, right before a test in health class.

Today we went to a girl scout meeting and since we won't be meeting again until after Valentine's day, our snack was Valentine's day themed.

Yay for M&Ms!

Two girls in our girl scout troop, my sister, and I have decided to plan this year's summer day camp, so if I have to catch up on posts, it's because I'm busy being awesome. I do try to always have the best of the day up on the project site, so PLEASE LOOK! :)

Days Twenty-Eight, Twenty-Nine, and Thirty

Argh... procrastination, again. Sorry. It's been a busy weekend, but I've been having fun. Yesterday I found this craft online where you spray paint old picture frames covered in lace, so I had my aunt take me around to a couple thrift stores to find picture frames and lace, and to buy some spray paint. When we got home it was a bit too late in the day to start painting so I had to wait until today to start. But I'm pretty happy with how they turned out!

The first bit of actual parsley to die on my plant. Aww.

Some notes I took for a presentation in history

Part of a friend's payment for his girl scout cookies...

Taken on the way home from Hobby Lobby yesterday

In the distance you can see my orthodontist's office!

My first victim, before spray paint...

...and after. I don't know if I got a shot of it without the material... don't think I did...

I made a bigger mess on the driveway today.

A neighbor's friendly cat came to visit, driving the dogs insane...

But he's so sweet!

And he's kind of camera shy.

Love the shadow here

Yes, I wore shorts. It was almost 70 outside.

This frame turned out to be one of my favorites

This was the view from where I was sitting while painting. Our driveway slopes down pretty dramatically.

Ta-da! All of my frames, minus that yellow one...

I really love this one.

See, isn't it cool?

And plain pink, just because.

I don't really have anything else to say but I feel compelled to write something down here. Hmm... I did my laundry today. That was an adventure. I washed all my bedding and clothes. Yay for clean stuff. I even showered, so I myself am clean. Um... that's all. DFTBA! ^^
